Our strategy will ensure that the municipality's strategic objectives are communicated in a simpler manner to the relevant target audience. It will also propel the realisation of the vision of EDM, that of being "The best performing District Municipality of the 21st century". Informed by leaders of all spheres of government who have expressed their expectations on improved communication that will market, promote and inform electorates of what government is doing to improve their lives, we are using this platform to also promote investments, economic growth and job creation. We draw our inspiration from our provincial pay-off line which is "The Place of the rising sun" which communicates a life experience of hope, consistency and abundant opportunities. Situated in the provincial capital of "The Place of the rising sun" EDM continues to be the country's tourist destination of choice through its scenic beauty as depicted by the majestic meandering escarpment that showcases the natural awe inspiring areas of the district including God's Window, Mac Mac Falls, Bourke's Luck potholes and others.
