Tinnitus is the perception of ringing, buzzing, or hissing sounds in the ears without external noise, which can be temporary or chronic.

Causes
Exposure to loud noise Age-related hearing loss Ear infections or blockages Medications causing ototoxicity Underlying medical conditions (e.g., high blood pressure)
Diagnosis
Hearing tests (audiometry) Examination of the ear canal and eardrum Imaging tests if a tumor or vascular issue is suspected
Treatment
