Overview
Flu (influenza) is a contagious respiratory infection caused by influenza viruses, resulting in fever, cough, sore throat, and body aches.
Symptoms
Fever and chills Cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose Body aches and fatigue Headache and sometimes vomiting or diarrhea
Causes
Infection with influenza viruses (types A, B, or C) Airborne transmission via droplets from coughs or sneezes
Diagnosis
