Overview
Epididymitis is inflammation of the epididymis, the tube at the back of the testicle that stores and carries sperm, usually caused by infection.
Symptoms
Scrotal pain and swelling Redness or warmth of the scrotum Fever and chills Painful urination or discharge
Causes
Bacterial infections, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs) Urinary tract infections Trauma or chemical irritation

Physical examination Urine and blood tests Ultrasound to rule out testicular torsion
