Dalumi Plumbing is a female black-owned entity and was founded in 2007, by Luleka Parkies with Dan Parkies as Head of Operations. Their goal was to bring quality and professional plumbing services to the people of South Africa. Dan is a graduate of Lesotho’s well-renowned Lerotoli College where he completed his studies and was certified a plumber in the 1980’s. Following the attainment of his qualifications, he relocated to South Africa in search of employment. Having gained valuable experience as a plumber at Stock & Stock Construction and then later at Southgate plumbing, he earned his trade certificate in 2000 at Oliphant, from the Building Industries Training Board. In 2004 Dan acquired a franchise with Simunye Plumbing, and when the franchise contract expired he decided together with Lulu to establish Dalumi Plumbing.
